Col. Atin Basuchoudhary will be featured on the public radio program With Good Reason Aug. 19-25. On the episode, entitled “The Many Indias,” Basuchoudhary discusses the third largest religion in the world – Hinduism – and its staying power while other religions have died off.

Nicholas Schaefer ’23, who graduated in May from the ¶þ´ÎÔªÄÛB with a degree in international studies, recently presented a paper remotely to the 25th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ICAI) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Institute welcomes Capt. Eli B. Facemire ’19 as the new associate chaplain. During his cadetship, Facemire majored in psychology; held rank his 3rd and 2nd Class years; served on the general committee as class president; sang with the Men in Grey; was a cadre corporal; and was a cadet chaplain.

¶þ´ÎÔªÄÛB Receives Pell Grant Funds

Maj. Gen. Cedric T. Wins ’85, superintendent, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV), that provides ¶þ´ÎÔªÄÛB nearly $4 million over four years to boost enrollment and success of low income and Pell Grant-eligible cadets at the Institute.

COW Program Transforms Youths at ¶þ´ÎÔªÄÛB

The College Orientation Workshop, Inc. (COW) program returned to ¶þ´ÎÔªÄÛB this summer, marking its 37th year of transforming the lives of promising, male, minority high school students. This program offers education, leadership and character building, and physical training at no cost to the students.

Hayden Rose ’26, a computer science major at ¶þ´ÎÔªÄÛB, used the skills he learned as a ¶þ´ÎÔªÄÛB emergency medical technician (EMT) to save a woman’s life recently while embedded with the 91st cyber brigade for a military activity at Camp Pendleton.

National Student Clearinghouse Cybersecurity Incident Being Closely Monitored

¶þ´ÎÔªÄÛB has been made aware of a National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) cybersecurity incident with one of their third-party software vendors, MOVEit Transfer. There are thousands of colleges and universities that use NSC for maintaining student data and gathering reports.
